Measures for the Implementation of the 113 Professor Yang Guoshu Research Paper Award on Chinese Native Psychology

Article 1

"Professor Yang Guoshu Research Paper Award for Chinese Native Psychology" is established by the Management Committee of Professor Yang Guoshu Fund. It aims to carry forward Professor Yang Guoshu's ambition to promote the research of Chinese local psychology, and to reward research that can reflect the characteristics of Chinese culture or social context. Every year, from the masters, doctoral dissertations and young scholars' papers that can demonstrate the spirit of Chinese local psychology, awards will be given to the best.

Article 2

This dissertation award will set up one or two dissertation awards for young scholars under the age of 45, one to three doctoral dissertation awards, and two to five master's degree dissertation awards. In case of necessity, some awards may not be given in a particular year. The Young Scholar Paper Award has a general age requirement of 45 years or younger. However, individuals who have had childbirth before the age of 45 may have an additional two years of eligibility for each childbirth. The Young Scholars Dissertation Award will be awarded NT$100,000 each, the Doctoral Dissertation Award will be NT$50,000, and the Master's Dissertation Award will be NT$10,000.

 

Article 3

Before the end of April each year, the Fund Management Committee must notify domestic research institutions and psychology-related research departments of universities and colleges to recommend them by letter, or applicants can submit their own papers that have been officially published or completed within two years before the application deadline. for review. The Young Scholars Dissertation Award must be officially published or completed "within three years before the application deadline" for review.

 

Article 4

The Young Scholars Dissertation Award is proposed by the applicant. The Ph.D. and Master's Dissertation Award can be recommended by the director of the graduate institute, or the applicant can apply to the Fund Management Committee by himself . Applicants are not allowed to apply for other thesis awards of the Association repeatedly.

Applicants who apply for the Master's and Doctoral Dissertation Award by themselves should attach two letters of recommendation (one of which is the recommendation letter of the advisor).

 

Article 5

The winners who have been approved by the Fund Management Committee and approved to be awarded bonuses must be submitted to the Board of Directors and Supervisors meeting for approval, and they will receive public awards and commendations at the annual meeting of the Taiwan Psychological Society each year. Special lectures may be invited when necessary.

 

Article 6 These regulations may be amended by the management committee after resolution.

【Review documents】

1. Young Scholars Paper Award:

(1) A complete research paper (including an abstract);

(2) Application form for thesis award;

(3) Personal resume (CV), including a list of research publications in the past three years, and a major representative work and two reference works;

(4) Briefly describe the academic research and important academic research achievements (about 500 words).

2. Master and Doctoral Dissertation Awards:

(1) Complete master's and doctoral dissertation (including oral examination certificate, abstract, etc.).

(2) Letter of recommendation

  A. Those recommended by the department: recommendation letter from the director;

  B. Applicants who apply by themselves: two letters of recommendation (one of which is a recommendation letter from the advisor);

(3) Application form for thesis award 

 

【Application Restrictions】

The Young Scholars Dissertation Award and the Master's and Doctoral Dissertation Award must be applied for, and repeated applications for other thesis awards of the Association are not allowed.

【Application Deadline】

The applicant shall prepare the above-mentioned documents in electronic files and two hard copies of the thesis, and send them to the Secretary's Office of the Taiwanese Psychological Association from now until July 31, 2024. E-mail: contact@tpa-tw.org.
