Conference Theme: The Social Value of Applied Psychology
1. Theme for paper submissions:
As natural disasters and man-made catastrophes continue to occur, the complexity of the social issues accompanying these events and the challenges they pose to humanity are increasing. In this contemporary world, how should we face them? Psychologists dealing with systemic social problems need to have a proactive attitude that does not shirk responsibility. Whether it is problem-solving, knowledge application, or contributing to education, psychologists have become one of the pillars in solving contemporary human issues.
Psychology has become a focal discipline in the 21st century, mainly focusing on its wide range of applications in various domains of human activity. Psychological theories have made significant contributions to different fields and have generated extensive social benefits. However, in the face of rapidly changing social environments and highly complex social issues, the pace of theoretical advancements cannot halt. Only by actively applying these theories to address social problems can psychologists make their own work more meaningful and provide clearer development pathways for psychological theories and educational training.
The 62nd Taiwan Psychology Annual Conference will be themed "The Social Value of Applied Psychology," aiming to showcase psychologists' concern for social dynamics and attempt to collaborate with knowledge workers from various social science fields. Together, they will demonstrate the spirit of integrity, wisdom, diligence, and perseverance, supporting the people living in this challenging society to continue moving forward!
